This chapter will guide you through the installation process of Valesco, enabling you to get started on your projects right away. Installation on a Local Area Network (LAN) is also discussed.
Single User Standalone Licence Installation
Valesco is provided as a downloadable installer, and can be deployed as a 'Standalone' piece of software on a single machine with a single or floating Licence.
Please note:
Ensure your computer is logged in with an Administrator account or your account is a member of the local Administrators group. Also ensure that before installing, you have closed all Office programs, as Office will automatically close when installing.
Valesco uses .NET 4.7 and will install this during the upgrade if not already installed. If you are in any way unsure, please contact your internal IT Department or Consultant before installation.
Follow the steps below to complete your installation.
Once the installer is launched you will be presented with the following welcome screen:
Click next to proceed
Please select 'STANDALONE' from the options
Click next to proceed
Before you can continue with the install you will need to accept the Licence Agreement
Once accepted click next to continue
A default directory is selected for installation
C:\Program Files (x86)\ Crest Software\Valesco 5.0
You can change the default directory if desired, then click Next to continue
The installer will now list the components it will install, for informative purposes
Click next to continue
A default Start Menu directory is chosen for the installation but can be changed if desired
Click next to continue
The installer can perform additional tasks such as creating a Desktop Icon or a Quick Launch Icon if desired
Once you have chosen your options click next to continue
You will now be presented with the Ready to install screen which lists all options which have been selected/chosen
Click install to continue
The Installer will now begin installing Valesco onto your computer, please wait until this has been completed
Once completed you will be presented with a Completion Screen to confirm installation was successful
Click next to continue
You will now have the option to Launch Valesco now and Activate or to close the installer and not launch Valesco
Please note:
If different user account was used to install Valesco other than the intended user, then you may need to re-apply the Microsoft Office customisation for the Excel Add-In and Outlook Add-In.
Login as the Valesco User and Click on ‘Reinstall Excel Add-In’ or ‘Reinstall Outlook Add-In’.
