Quick Bill using Resource Library
Valesco Estimating can create a Bill of Quantities from the Headings Library (Resource Sets) very efficiently. This method can also be used for pricing Schedule of Rate Items, where Sub-Items are used to create mini-Bills.
To create a Bill of Quantities without the need to type up headings or measured items, simply create a new Bill and Page first, then add items from the Library.
Go to the Insert Menu; add Bill then Page in the Tree View
Now to add library items to the Page, click on the Green Page Folder
On the same Menu, now select ‘Library Resources’ to open the ‘Insert Bill Item from Resources’ dialogue
In the Headings Library tree on the left, drill down to the required Resource Sets, then double left-click to add the item to the right-hand pane.
Continue adding items as required
When all required items have been selected for the Page, click ‘Create’ button on lower right-hand side of dialogue to commit to the Bill Page
Then close the dialogue to view the newly created BoQ
