In addition to pricing using resources, you can price items partly or wholly by using subcontractor costs. The cost of any subcontractor’s price can represent the labour and/or plant and/or materials cost contribution to an item.
Valesco Estimating allows flexibility in the way subcontract rates are assigned to a Bill Item
• Subcontract Cost using Basic Resources (Cost Type = Subcontractor)
• Full Subcontract Comparison using S/C Categories
The first two options are generally used where there are only a few Bill Items to price, and rates or subcontract resources can be quickly assigned.
The full Subcontract comparison is used where a large number of Bill Items are to be priced, and where an enquiry document is to be produced from the Bill of Quantities.
